You my friend are a disgrace! Yes lance does use his arm to push him in the face and probably was a Pen to Wigan but what Ben Flower did was a utter disgrace and will get a chunky ban.

Poor little flower will have to live with losing his team the grand final for rest of his life.

Spot on, if Flower doesn't react it's a penalty to Wigan. He'd probably have got away with the first punch but when he followed it with the one on the floor he had to go and deserves a long ban.

For what it's worth, I thought Wigan played well tonight with only 12 men for virtually the whole game.

The outcry is justified really. Provoked or not you just cant do stuff like that. Flower lost his marbles and he is looking at 4-6 games at least imo.

Roughing up the other team is part of the game but you need to do it within the rules.

In my opinion the only way Saints were going to win was if we lost our discipline and we fell right in within a couple of minutes.

Wane has got the credit for our sucess but i think today he contributed to our downfall. We didnt need to be so pumped up to win this game and he should have known that. He should have had the players on their guard for getting sucked in.

Saints saw us coming and the rest is history. We need to learn from it and come back stronger.

No excuses for what Flower did. None whatsoever. I haven't seen Hohaia's elbows to the face yet but I've heard it was pretty bad too. However that should have been for the ref to deal with. The second punch was cowardly and irresponsible.

The other players were excellent tonight and were a credit to the club. Playing for pretty much the whole match a man down they hung in there and, in truth, could (should?) have won it. Congraulatons Saints. It's been a while between drinks so enjoy your win!
