Quote: NickyKiss "And it's the format that brings about these pipe dreams from clubs like Huddersfiejd and Saints that a few meaningless regular round wins means they're better then the likes of Leeds and Warrington. You've played one meaningful game against a really top side all year in the challenge cup against Leeds and you got beat.
Unlike Huddersfield last year you guys will be able to use the 'we've got injuries' comfort blanket when you limp out of the play offs.'"
This is hilarious.
What meaningful games have Wigan won this year? Dewsbury? Hunslet? Because as I remember it, you lost to the first SL team you played (at home). Saints had a "meaningful" game in the cup before Leeds, we won at Huddersfield.
So really, we have won more "meaningful" games than Wigan this season. And more SL games full stop, hence finishing above you.
All teams have lost a meaningful game except Leeds, because only the cup winners will have not lost a "meaningful" game at this stage. So by your logic, the cup winners are always the best team every season up to the play-offs, rather thamn the team that wins the most league games?
Top logic.
