Neither played yesterday. I agree both Higginson and Gildart look very good prospects.
The refereeing decision at the end was very strange. Wigan were attacking and the Leeds player knocked the ball onl. The referee waved six to go as Doran picked the ball up but then went behind his own man. Instead of giving a scrum with head and feed to Wigan (no advantage) he gave Leeds the penalty, then blew up for full time on the first play. It's the first time I've ever seen at an academy match but the referee had to be escorted from the pitch.

I guess no bad decisions went against Leeds during the game

Wigan got the worst of the decisions. Wigan had 3 breaks pulled back for forward passes. One was borderline but the others looked fine.

Leeds were constantly offside, time wasting and lieing on in the tackle. Ref did nothing until they finally had one player binned in the last couple of minutes for delaying a turnover to go with the one on report for what looked like an eye gouge in the first half.

Must've been taking notes at the Wigan first team on Friday night.
