Hock 'could' have been a great player.
My old Dad mentioned another one who could have been great from the 1940's called Billy Ritchie.
Apparently, a mate of my Dad, as was RL legend Martin Ryan. He was a mate of Ryans too. My old Dad knew RL legend Jim Sullivan from his friendship with Martin Ryan.
Anyway Ritchie said "I'll drink when I like !".
"I am not having the club telling me when I can have a pint."
My old Dad said he had more skill than scrumhalfs like Andy Gregory.
