| Quote: DaveO "I think there is a huge difference between it being practical to drive home and being at the other end of the country.
I have done both living in London for 12 years before moving up to Chester.
London obviously the other end of the country and yes popping home on a whim out of the question but Chester was about a 45 min drive from my parents when they were alive living in Wigan.
I agree with Cruncher and the others of a similar view. If what you say is behind it, then it is pathetic. He doesn't have to be 90 mins away from home if he moves half way 45 min commute for a player is hardly the same as you or me having to do it to get to work for 9am.
As I said 45 min drive is about as far away as I was from my parents living in Chester with them in Wigan and this was no barrier to seeing them as often as we liked.
An RL players career at the top is a short one and if the wife can't put up with just seeing the parents/friends at the weekends for the duration you have to wonder. If it's that important he could no doubt afford for her not to work and she could pop over on a weekday as well if that desperate. If she can't cope with that, trade her in for a new model!'"
I absolutely agree, especially "If she can't cope with that, trade her in for a new model!" Surely she is not that stupid as to completely ruin his career?

Charnley will be his first choice winger 100%.
Just a little gee up to get him mentally prepared for when he's back.

| Faz and Bateman are both excellent young players. For the balance of the team though they are too similar.
A strike back row forward today and I feel we could have been going into the semi final draw.

| Quote: tigerman1 "I know its easy to say things after the event but do you think it ws a good move for wane to bring everyone back for this game, I said before the game that I thought he was playing into our hands a little as there was no way all the returnees were going to be match fit and that would tell in the end.
I bet some of them will be given a further rest for the return fixtue on friday.'"
No because some of us were saying it was not right before the event. Wane lost the plot.

| I know Taulima and he's a great guy who is fantastic to have around the training ground, he'll bring a new dynamic to the group of players and brighten the mood whenever he's about the place. That's not to portray him as a joker because he's not he will train as hard as any other player whether it out on the field or on the weights.
I haven't seen him dominated by any other teams forwards in his time at Wakefield, that's not to say that he doesn't have an error in him because he does, however he will hit hard in the tackle and he will carry the ball as strong as any forward. What makes him different is he has a very good offload game, he has great footwork which often gets in through the first line of defence and when he makes a break he has a remarkable turn of speed for a big man.
You will be hard pressed to find a Wakefield fan who is not disappointed that he is leaving but as a testimony to his character everyone wishes him well and is pleased for him that he's got this chance to play for Wigan

We lack size in the pack when they're both on the field.
Both fantastic players, but we need a big SR to rotate them with - or try Bateman out at C.
