Quote: Eastbourne Warrior "I don't know if any of this is true, it's speculation on the hull board. Should stress it's his wife/gf not him. 90 mins or the other end of the country doesn't matter. Everything you are accustomed to changes. You can't pop out with your mates or nip to mums on a whim for Sunday lunch. You don't walk down the street and see people you grew up with any more.
All I'm saying is that if I was in a position where my wife said I hate it here and I want to go home, I'd go. Some things are more important than money and careers.'"
No disrespect, but I really hope he's not receiving this kind of advice.
Has the guy any clue what kind of number he's on? He's doing the thing he loves and getting paid very well for it, and he's at one of the best clubs in the world, not just in the UK.
And you're telling us that going to the pub with his mates and popping around to see his mum (which he could do anyway), are more important.
Surely you don't mean that?
I've known people move abroad to find jobs, and though they weren't keen, they made it work for the good of themselves and their families. And in many of those cases, it was for life, not just the duration of a short career in RL.
