| It's testament to our side and squad depth that with all of the injuries we could possibly line up like:
1. Sarginson 2. Manfredi 3. Goulding 4. Gelling 5. Burgess 6. Green 7. Smith 8. Taylor 9. Williams 10. Dudson 11. Hughes 12. Bateman 13. McIlorum Subs 14. James 15. Crosby 16. C. Farrell 17. Powell. We may not win the game but we will be very competitive which is all we can ask for at the minute

To all those people who critisized this team...tonight's for you.

| Excellent game plan from the Pies. Wane outsmarted a superior team with a tactical masterclass. Saints did the same when they beat us at Langtree. I hope McDermot comes up with a plan to counter such tactics for the next time we meet. Well done you guys.

What a refreshing post. Having looked around the forums last night (Virtual Terrace especially) not many people commented on the positive aspects of the match, of which there were many. Instead most decided to pull Wigan apart due to the 5-10 minute spell of madness!
Something about Leeds v Wigan matches that still have that 80's feel about it (ie - fast open rugby, shades of brilliance, hard and agressive defences with a bit of biff thrown in)!
May there be many more like that!

| Slightly OT: Does anyone know if this game will be replayed on Sky or anywhere? I wish i'd have recorded it for a family member who missed it, as i dont think the highlights will truly reflect the effort the lads gave.

I think that we never get any credit were it's due, even from our own fans. Before the game I thought this was 50/50 and afterwards was really proud of the way our lads played.
SW said it was the best performance of the season - and I agree.
Maybe Leeds won't be as bad as Hull, but they lost to Saints second string, so why couldn't we beat them?'"
I said last week that I thought we were superb at Hull FC, and very few of you agreed. Most put it down to Hull being poor. IMO this weeks performance against Leeds was fashioned in Hull last Friday where in the second half McIlorum moved to LF.
