Like many other posters, I have refrained from posting in recent years, as there are too many posters only too willing to post a offensive reply. Wouldn't it have been better to start message without the offensive first sentence? I would have been grateful though for just the info on his injury.

Charnley confirmed out for at least 2 months.

According to the report on SSN Dom Manfredi will play in his place this Friday! Didn't think his month was quite up yet but glad to hear he's available.

No ligament damage for Charnley so he shouldn't be too long I'd have thought. We can certainly cope for the next 6 weeks or so.

There's nothing offensive about anything I've posted. I have been as frustrated as anyone with how the club have dealt with certain issues in the past and not nipped rumours in the bud early, or allowed information to become common knowledge months before we hear anything official. In this case, however, Josh was injured on the field and was carried off in obvious pain, there's no need to try and turn it in to another saga about whether he's leaving or not.

14th March when Manfredi last played for Salford so his 4 weeks is up this Friday.

Really looking forward to seeing what Manfredi can do. I'm sure he's looked at the success of Joe Burgess and thought 'I'd love a bit of that' and he's now probably going to get 6-8 games to really make a name for himself.

He's got a lot about him IMO and will grasp his chance with both hands.

I'd play Sarginson outside Goulding and leave thornley & burgess to keep working on their partnership.

Me too, but Wane likes to give the kids their chance.

It was a very brief outing for Sarginson on the wing at Dewsbury but he wasn't overly impressive IMO. His defensive positioning was poor for their try and I'd rather play a natural wingman there rather then a stop gap. If we were to do that I'd stick Sarginson at centre and put Goulding out there who has plenty of experience in the position.

Goulding is the best winger's centre we have. Thornley has a tendency to be too greedy. I would much sooner play Sarginson/Manfredi on the wing and see what they can do when given the ball.
