Quote: FlexWheeler "Tomkins first game for NZ warriors was this morning. They lost 36-16 to paramatta eels.
He helped create 2 tries by chiming into the line then passing straight away to the winger, but was also at fault for a try dropping a bomb which eels scored from. Didn't get to see any of his running game, paramatta made it so he didn't have many kick returns and in attack as soon as he recieved the ball there were 2 defenders on him like that.
He'll go alright I think, it's going to be tough at first but playing against better defences week in week out should make him a better player for england.'"
If he learned anything it will be that there will be no easy matches, Parramatta are not considered to be one of the NRL'S better teams only winning 5 matches (all at home) in the whole of last season.
So either the Eels have brought in a lot of new players of an higher standard and improved a lot or the Warriors are in for a very tough season.
It says a lot for the Warriors sliding defence that I think both Eels wingers scored an hat trick of try's each, the left winger a giant Fijian called Radadada (something like that) was an absolute monster.
