It says that Powell was a flop and that Wigan's patience has run out, in part due to his poor off-field attitude. According to the article it'll be announced later in the week that he's left, along with Lauaki, who is leaving due to personal reasons. After that there's a bit about Wane wanting to do the double again and singing Bowen's praises.

| Regarding Powell
I commented upon his signing that he wouldn't get many appearances or minutes in the Wigan 1st team and was subsequently shot down in flames ?
SL's clubs that play Wigan next season will find it more difficult breaking the line, cos his defense was more static than an 8 berth caravan at Primrose Valley ![Laughing icon_lol.gif](images/smilies//icon_lol.gif)

| honestly a union forward who has played less than a month of rugby league, defense wasn't up to standard? seriously…
He showed more than enough potential in the games he played, just look at the hull fc one at the dw. I wish he had his life sorted off field because on the field he looked like he could be a good strong forward.

| Quote: jonh "Totally agree. Some seem to be using the fact it hasn't worked out as a reason to try and justify the fact he was a poor signing. Hull and Leeds I thought he showed real promise as a player and was looking forward to seeing him this year after a pre season.
The talent is/was there it seems it is his attitude that has let him down.'"
He came much too late in his career. This is the major reason he failed and that failure was always more likely than most on here would admit.

16304_1526976105.jpg [size=100:2md8k3b3][b:2md8k3b3]'Do you remember when we had that meeting in Orlando? We talked about how we were knocked out the previous year by Leeds. And at the end, I asked you one question. "Do you want to be a semi-final team? Or do you want to do something special?" You all said you wanted to win. But talking is easy – it needed you to believe. It needed you to work hard – harder than you had – and make sacrifices. You did all that. you worked for each other. You stuck together when it was tough. And because of your efforts, you sit here tonight as champions. I'm proud of you. Be proud of yourselves. You've done something special.'
