I thought O'Loughlin was Wigan's best. He is one of the (few) SL players who ups his performances when facing the best opposition.
Tomkins was decent, but not the huge threat we've seen in attack before. He undoubtedly helped make the England backline the most fluid its been in years though. I really think he may be pushed into 6/7 at the Warriors.
Charnley - OK. The main thing with him, Watkins, Cudjoe and Hall was that they were not the defensive disasters many predicted. On attack they all struggled at times with the quality they were up against, and they were new combinations at the start. The weakest link for me was Cudjoe, who I'd replace with Reed.
Farrell, Mossop and McIlorum - sorry but not (yet) good enough IMO. Not alone here, but there is a massive gap between our top quality forwards and the rest. That's an area I'd be hoping to unearth a couple more players over the next year.'"
Agree with all of that. To be honest it's a bit daft that Mossop got the call up as he's not really done anything special for the last couple of seasons IMO. I'd have given Crabtree a spot
