| Lockers 9 out of 10 really organised mid field
Charnley 7 out of 10 may have been more if he had more time on the ball rather than a ball greedy centre who could not run straight
Sam 8 out of 10, defensively I thought he was fantastic, but in attack, he looked like no one was up to his speed at times.
Gelling, 6 out of 10, no doubt this lad has some talent, but the eagerness to keep getting back up and running hard seems missing sometimes. I like Gelling, but I would like to see him with fire in his belly.

Lockers- Proved to everyone what we knew, that he's world class. He really is a stunning player nowadays. Works like a forward, hits like a train with the handling ability of a back.

A back with butter fingers maybe
Can't fault his defensive effort but he still gives away too many penalties.

My only slight disagreement is with Lockers. He missed Australia again - not his fault of course. But he needs to have a massive game against them to silence the doubters from other clubs who think that we over rate him.'"
If he ever gets the chance, he will. He is one of those few players who when the standard increases, rises to the challenge. It's what really marks him down as a class player.
In our competition plenty look sh 1t hot at club level but can't hack it internationally. He is not one of those.

| Can only comment on the England players...
I thought O'Loughlin was Wigan's best. He is one of the (few) SL players who ups his performances when facing the best opposition.
Tomkins was decent, but not the huge threat we've seen in attack before. He undoubtedly helped make the England backline the most fluid its been in years though. I really think he may be pushed into 6/7 at the Warriors.
Charnley - OK. The main thing with him, Watkins, Cudjoe and Hall was that they were not the defensive disasters many predicted. On attack they all struggled at times with the quality they were up against, and they were new combinations at the start. The weakest link for me was Cudjoe, who I'd replace with Reed.
Farrell, Mossop and McIlorum - sorry but not (yet) good enough IMO. Not alone here, but there is a massive gap between our top quality forwards and the rest. That's an area I'd be hoping to unearth a couple more players over the next year.

Agree with all of that. To be honest it's a bit daft that Mossop got the call up as he's not really done anything special for the last couple of seasons IMO. I'd have given Crabtree a spot

I think that's a bit harsh on Mossop. After all he did step up in the playoffs, one of which McNamara will have taken note of, at Huddersfield.
However I think Crabtree was very unlucky. As it turned out he'd have done better than Burgess no.3 (Tom?).
