| Quote Rogues Gallery="Rogues Gallery"Why is it a joke?
If they fill the other stands then they can open the West Stand. It'll look better on t.v. if the three stands are full and it's hardly the RFL's fault if fans decide not to bother.
Are you going?'"
I phoned the RL ticket office a couple of weeks ago to ask about tickets for the West Stand, he told me the same thing that if they sell out the other stands they will open up the West Stand, at that time he said they hadn't sold many. The West stand is open for hospitality packages.
I agree it will look better on TV if the 3 stands are full.

I'm saying its a joke if only 2 or 3 of the stands are open for any other reason than ticket sales, given that the Galpharm has sold out I'm sure a QF that is likely to feature England at the DW would sell out. I'm questioning if anybody knows any reason why the other stands may be closed, as somebody has stated they are waiting for other stands to sell out first, that makes sense but given whelans track record of stadium farces I thought there mat be some other reason (double booked with a wedding or something)
Yes I'm going, would it make a difference if I wasn't? Would I not be allowed to enquire?

| Quote Grimmy="Grimmy"Perhaps the club can only sell tickets to two stands and the RFL have the rest? Or maybe they'll make the decision to open the whole stadium if/when England are confirmed as finishing 2nd. No point calling it a joke when we don't even know what's happening'"
I said it would be a joke if only 2-3 stands open as the women clearly stated at the ticket office, she said "only 2 stands will be open for this game" that would have been a joke in my opinion. She didn't elaborate on wether they would open at a later date etc

Can't say I'm bothered to be honest, I'd be very surprised if we sold out three stands and they decided not to open the 4th. Out of interest, do you have something against the club? Your posts seem to be almost exclusively having a dig at the club management on this, shirt sales, Long's dismissal, Wane, player selection etc. We've had the best season in ages, let's enjoy it!

What other reason would there be for not opening the West Stand other than ticket sales given that the RFL have known for over a year that the game was to be played at Wigan?
It's the RFL's decision and no doubt they will open the West Stand if the other three sell out, just as they have now started selling tickets in the top tier of the North Stand at Old Trafford for the final.
It makes complete sense to fill the East Stand opposite the cameras. That's what should have been done at Leigh in the Challenge Cup Semi v London.

Not that I need to justify my posts but no, I don't have a problem with the club, I wouldn't have a season ticket and have been to almost every game this year including both finals etc, if I do however feel the need to post on an element of the club I'm not happy with I shouldn't need to justify this should I? I've enjoyed parts of this season immensely and others not so much. I'm posting now about the WC quarter final, care to discuss that rather than the topic of my previous posts??

I don't know of any reason, I'm asking!!? The lady at the ticket office clearly said "only 2 stands are being opened for this game" I can't be any clearer than that, in my opinion it would be ridiculous if this is the case but it presumably isn't, the stands are being sold based on other stands filling first, that makes complete sense. I was merely enquiring as to other peoples thoughts given what the lady at the ticket office said.

| I have paid for fanzine tickets that were supposed to inc the best seating at the DW which is in the west stand, and you would expect the corporate seats to be in the west stand.

| Putting everyone in the stand opposite the camera only works if you have one camera. The fact there'll be plenty of cameras from the other sides that show a totally empty stand not to mention when they focus on a try scorer.
I'd expect at least 15k though.

| Got 2 tickets for the north stand yesterday, if it is England at the DW I'd be amazed if it doesn't sell out.
