Quote: Wigan Peer "Personally I'm sad he is banned, and sad he and others have this irrational disdain for the present management. Nothing is perfect, and i would doubt that a single poster on this board is happy about the Sam situation. It's also sad that if you don't wander around with flaming torches and pitchforks, you are regarded as a "Happy Clapper", I don't find it insulting, I'm happy i can see both sides, a point some seem to miss. If they really want to moan and be happy, I'm sure they would be welcomed at MANY other clubs in SL who have genuine reasons to moan.
BTW, we are the current Challenge Cup holders, and 80 mins from Old Trafford.. Who would not have taken that at the start of the season... as for Sam, the king is dead, long live the king, move on.'"
If Sam had of stayed it wouldn't have stopped the moaners from moaning or the clappers from clapping. There is a lot of frustration in our game and you can't blame Sam and the Moose for wanting to go over to Oz for a decent wage and pitting their talents against tougher competition. I do genuinely believe IL is the best thing to happy to Wigan for a long time and he's fighting on all fronts and he doesn't have to do it, he can quit at any time but he loves the club. When the economic climate improves and the opportunities arise, that money will pay dividends for the club not IL
