| Quote FIOS="FIOS"People comparing Logan to McIlorum early days are wrong, I remember McIlorum showing class in his first few appearances for Wigan. He is and always has been a great hooker. I have seen nothing from Logan to say that he can make it at Wigan. Hopefully the rumours of him going to NZ with Sam are true, if not, Leigh or at best Widnes beckons for him IMO. I'd love to be proved wrong because he seems like a great lad and popular with team mates but for me he just isn't good enough for Wigan. We would be a much better team if we had a better hooker to come on when McIlorum goes off.'"
Mciloruns decision making in 2010/11 was awful and wed lose all attacking. Cracking player now, crunches people in defence regularly, but he definitely improved considerably, and its possible logan will too given time.

| I didn't think he had a good game The only time I noticed him was when he knocked on, then gave away a penalty straight after, and when he missed a tackle, chased back, and missed another tackle. Not good considering he didn't play for long. Hampshire would be the better option off the bench IMO

| Didn't see anything to alter my opinion. He does the basics and that's pretty much it as far as I can see.

| Lets just say I was counting down the minutes for MM to get back onto the pitch and being mighty relieved we hadn't conceded any points over that period.

| It takes years for a player to reach top of their game in the pivot roles of 1,6,7,9 & 13. It took ages for Mic Mac to do it and I do think he learned a lot off Piggy.
I was glad when we brought in experienced halves when Finch and Tommy left.
We were told Green and Smith weren't in the same class as F & T but last year's halves would never, ever have come up with the quality kicking game at Wembley that Smith and Green provided. IMO it was our better kicking game that won us the Cup!
Logan is only young yet and may well develop into an excellent 9. Trouble is when that young, if he cops a bad injury and is out for a considerable period of time the coach will have to try different players and combinations.
Time yet for Logan but he does have to progress each season.

| Quote wigan pie man="wigan pie man"Plenty didnt want him near the match after the 19 was announced.
I was in a massive minority for saying he needed to be on the bench.
Wane seemed to share my views and gave him a bench spot, which allowed MM to have a rest then come back and help settle the game.
Logan did nothing wrong , except 1 knock-on, (and who didnt knock on?) and was solid.
This thread allows the doubters to come on here and say.."we were wrong, Sean Wane and WPM got it right"
'"
Spot on. He's improving all the time. Not everyone starts like a hare.

| Still don't really see what he offers atm but he's still young and has time to improve. We definitely lose some tempo in attack when he comes on and his defence, particularly one-on-one, isnt a patch on McIlorums.

| Players should force their way in ad far as I'm concerned, the general opinion here seems to be that he's young and has time to improve, improve on what though? I don't see what his strengths are at all, he isn't a great organiser, he doesn't have pace, he doesn't move the ball out of dummy half particularly fast.
I'm not bagging him for the sake of it, or scapegoating and the like. It's just an honest opinion, that I see him as a very average player who doesn't offer anything other than doing the basics without error.

| It doesn't seem like that long ago since some people used to say that McIlorum offered nothing and they couldn't wait for Riddell to get back on the field.
Logan is playing a similar role to one MM did as an apprentice to Piggy, just pass the ball at dummy-half and keep tackling in the middle. For me, he's not as physical as MM was in defence even back then, but it's early days and bar the knock-on, he did nothing wrong that I saw on Saturday.
As for us conceding points when he's on the field, I know statistics aren't the whole story - but his missed tackle rate is about 6.4% compared to 9.8% for MM, so he's hardly a turnstile.
