I heard a good theory that Hull and Wigan would normally contribute a large number of the neutral ticket sales to a final. So when they're both playing the number of neutrals drops quite a lot. Don't know if that's true (or if it's provable) but it sounds pretty reasonable based on previous years where neither have played.
