Unfortunately happens in finals which is why I'm not keen on them. Reserved seating and people wanting to sit down makes everyone else sit down so they can see the game they would normally watch on tv.

Would have helped if the RFL had managed to get the stadium filled. The crowd was pathetic for a challenge cup final. I was there in 1985 when there was 95,000 on and there was a hell of an atmosphere that day I can assure you!
There was simply to many empty seats yet again. I'm usually very positive about RL but I'm getting more and more fed up with the RFL. I'd like to know what the marketing team actually does!

I dont think the design of the new Wembley creates the same atmosphere as the old stadium. The Club Wembley seats are what really destroys the atmosphere though.

I heard a good theory that Hull and Wigan would normally contribute a large number of the neutral ticket sales to a final. So when they're both playing the number of neutrals drops quite a lot. Don't know if that's true (or if it's provable) but it sounds pretty reasonable based on previous years where neither have played.

May have been a factor there did seem to be a lot less "neutrals" than usual however fans may be saving their cash for the potential Wembley trip in the world cup semi.
