I won't go to Monday/Thursday games as the kids are still at primary school and getting home a 11 is too late for them, I miss a couple of games due to shifts and one or two due to holidays.
I will pick and choose the games I attend, pay as I go, subscribe to wigan Tv and buy premier sports.
Sky may not care but the club board will when cash flow falls off.
Wigan get about £600 from me, not including playoffs and cup and 4 away games a year, that money will be lost.
More inportantly they have my replacement/s, if I don't take him he will drift away and the other one won't get into it.'"
Agree fully. I'll probably renew the kids tickets as they still cost in, but will probably ditch mine. I've accepted that I'm bound to miss a match due to holidays in August - though you take a punt with this as the fixtures aren't out till Feb & we've generally booked well before then, but this whole Monday/Thursday thing is beyond a joke. It would be bad enough if we lived in Wigan, but as we travel then it's not viable at all. Add to the matches mentioned above, we'd have gone to the CC QF if that hadn't been moved too.
The way it is, we seem to go to a ton of matches before June, and then with the pitch re-laying & the constant changing of fixtures, seem to go about once a month to home matches, if we're lucky.
But let's be honest, Sky don't care, and if the club do care, they can do little about it anyway. Sad, really.
