| I think the good Doctor could well be the real deal and I think a certain team in the Borough of St Helens, might be thinking, how did we miss him, seeing as he resides in Rainhill.

Koukash is going to throw money at the best of the best so which clubs youth system do you think they will be targeting? Warrington's?'"
No. They're too busy throwing money at your pensioners for the minute!

| It'll be interesting to see if Salford do throw money at junior scholarship level. From this year there is no central funding or control of the scholarship and therefore clubs can recruit 13 year olds from anywhere into their academy. No longer will Wigan get sole access and first dibs on the large talent base under the old Wigan service area. If Salford are serious they should be throwing incentives at the cream at that level to join their academy. No quick return on investment but certainly a commitment to long term development of the club.

| Other clubs have been working to recruit in the Wigan service area for years.Peter Farrell as much as anyone.
Agree under the new rules, or lack of rules, other clubs will target Wigan's youngsters. Don't forget they have to do it via their parents too.
So, where will youngsters get their best chance at the first team?
At Salford under Noble, or at Wigan?
This new system will work both ways too. Wigan are a big draw for players of any age and the club can go looking anywhere. This could damage the smaller clubs who now won't be able to hold on to their best talent.

Think Marwan has already addressed this, one of the first things he said when he took control was he intended to build an academy with residential facilities at Barton so he could attract young players in the future.
Also he's had meetings with the management of Man City regarding the facilities at Carrington when City move their training set up to the Etihad Campus.
