As the league stands at the moment you are the 8th best team in super league, if that remains the position at the end of the season its job done, and todays score stands for jack sh8.
IMHO, if we can't have a relegation system (and I understand why we can't) the thing we could well do with in SL is a bonus point system similar to the one in yawnion, this may go a long way to helping prevent embarrasing score lines like todays. That being said, I was in the Well and listening to the comments (abuse) it was all the refs fault for not keeping Wigan onside, and for allowing all those forward passes, that was the real difference today (lol, twice)'"
The bonus point system in RU is an incentive to score tries (as that game typically lacks them) a team scoring IIRC 4 tries gets bonus points. In our game and the Hudds v Widnes one yesterday it is Wigan and Hudds that would have got bonus points for great attack (and would be incentivised to be as ruthless in all games).
If a bonus point system was to be implemented in SL then the one used in the Championships whereby a bonus point can only be earned by the losing side (if losing by 12 or less) would be better as that system rewards defence and encourages teams not to give up when falling 2 or 3 scores behind. The fact that this system has been in place for a few years and has not been extended to SL though suggests that a bonus point system will not be adopted in SL.
