| Quote St. Rughead="St. Rughead"I'm not being sour here, you deserved the win and all that, but there was no atmosphere from the Wigan fans today. I know people have been complaining about it in previous games, but I thought Wigan fans'd find their voices for today.'"
That's the trouble with these boring, one-sided games...
Seriously, though, I tend to agree with whoever it was that blamed the stadium. The acoustics are poor, for one thing - the atmosphere in the South was great, but I know from previous years in the East that the sound doesn't travel well outside the stand. All-seating doesn't help any, either.

| I sit in different stands from game to game. I was sat in the West not far from the North (Saints) stand. I know you were making a lot of noise but even as close as I was it was not that loud. Sadly, the stupid infantile sang that I could hear reminded me of the worst of our young supporters. Noise does not travel around the DW. WWhen Wigan were singing / chanting you could not hear clearly and neither could you when Saints fans were singing. Why do Saints fans have to lower themselves to pathetic scummy songs / chants when they have a fantastic range of chants / songs. 'Oh when the Saint's' is not far behind 'Old Faithful' as a chant but you spent most of the 80 minutes opting for 'your mum, your dad' garbage.
P.S Do you remember when Saints were dominant in SL and Wigan fans would come on forums saying at least we out sang them. Desparate

Its a known fact the roof in the South stand is partially glass where the roof in the North stand is solid so sound does not travel well from the South stand [urlhttp://www.bing.com/images/search?q=dw+stadium+ariel+picture&qpvt=dw+stadium+ariel+picture&FORM=IGRE[/url

Some of us Saints supporters also cringe when our singers reel off their ensemble of scummy songs. It won't get any better when on the train in we had 10 year old kids copying the songs and their parents just laughed.

100% true. People think it's a crap excuse but it's true, you can have 100 fans in the North and they sound louder than the South because of the roof.

Tragic isn't it. Same with the Brigantes, that got hijacked by feral no marks. It's not like 'Oh when the Saints' is difficult to learn and it still sounds fantastic.

Had to laugh at the banner they had showing the Latics logo and singing Wigan's turning blue.
