| Quote Lingfield Warrior="Lingfield Warrior"It was cold. Very cold. The result was never in doubt. Everyone near us enjoyed watching the young lads stepping up and the halves putting in the sort of performance that we couldn't have expected 8 games in.
Wait until the weather eventually improves and the pitches firm up. We'll be a wonderful sight.'"
Spot on, everyone near us simply sat, watched and admired what was a very very impressive training session from a young team on a freezing cold night. The atmosphere will be just fine come Good Friday, when it matters.

| Don't upset the Brigantes or they'll have a silent protest and we won't get to hear amazing renditions of Up Up and Away and various other non-Wigan RL songs.

| I sit on the half way line... You've always been able to hear the away support over the home support, even with the Brigantes.

| A little confused, has the drum been banned from the stadium? I understand that it was freezing last night but there were over 10,000 Wigan supporters compared to probably 100 Widnes supporters. It may have felt like a training session and people may have been silently admiring the young players step up but which do you think the players would prefer:- silent admiration or a little enthusiasm when the put 62 points past a team. I for one don’t want to hear a team like Widnes shout at the DW ‘we forgot that you were here’ or ‘you’re supposed to be at home’. I wasn’t a rugby fan before 2006 and to be honest I was forced to go to home and away games by my Wigan crazy partner. In 2006 I fell in love with this club and that was when we were facing relegation. I’d take the pride and the passion and enthusiasm from 2006 any day of the week.
In brighter news has anyone seen the players do the Harlem Shake video, led by Hansen?

| Games like that will never have an atmosphere. The weather was shocking and it was on TV. However, I am very embarrased to say that 100 Widnes fans outsung 10,000+ Wiganers last night, and apparently we have the best supporters in the league?
Ever since the 5 people were banned the atmosphere has been very poor. I can imagine that it'll be very similar next week against Saints, where you can hear a pin drop.

| Difficult to create an atmosphere when it was freezing and our young Wigan team totally dominated the opposition, and yes I had some gloves on but really enjoyed the performance, well done lads same again Friday, and well done to the Widnes fans that made the effort to travel on a freezing cold Saturday evening when the game was on TV.
5 fans being banned had nothing to do with the atmosphere last night.

| Why do we need an atmosphere? I've never really been one for singing/chanting and much preferred to focus my attention on the game. Atmosphere is a football thing, no need for it at RL.

That is very true mate, last night was a game Wigan dominated and it was bitterly cold aswell.
I'm not saying that because the 5 were banned the atmosphere was bad like that because games like that will always be very dull. What I'm saying is since the 5 were banned the atmosphere at the games has gone worse and worse as the games have gone on, Leeds was a bit of an exception but it wasn't great.

What games are we talking about, last 2 home games London and Cats, never any atmosphere, last 2 away Cas and Leeds, no roof never much of an " atmosphere" even though plenty traveled, let's wait till Friday I am sure it will be fine.

Well said. Anyone that wants to sing and chant can do so. Having a go at people for not is such a football thing.
