Point taken Dave, I just don't think that the softly softly approach to such a public show of thuggery is the right way forwards.
I think a statement from IL underlining the family values and that they ARE indeed following up the issue. Coupled with a very public announcement if people do get banned for their actions could generate some really positive press. Stating that we will not tolerate this behaviour as a sport would surely underline the high value which we place on the sporting ethos and family values behind our game whilst at the same time, reassuring families who may be considering coming to the matches that all is well.
As I said, I have no underlying mission to disrupt here, it is a genuine concern and whilst I agree that a letter to the club will be the best way forward, this forum is for discussing the game and so I thought I would start here.
People do get defensive and start pointing the finger very quickly on here though, and I don't enjoy having my motives questioned to such an extent when, with a little thought, you can see what the issue is.
