Not sure about any other players. I think Sam's contract was devised to a transfer fee for Sam, it was a 5yr deal with he only being tied to Wigan for 3. I assume the idea behind is that Sam will go after 3 with Wigan demanding a transfer fee where his 'new club' would have to buy he out of his last two years, hence Wigan demanding a big fee for Sam.
I think with the contract it is clear Sam will be leaving Wigan after his 3yrs.
It could be suggested that the club buying Sam would have to have some serious cash, considering this I expect him to go to Union or the NRL.
I'm not sure when the final year of his 3 years is up.
I really do despair of the human race sometimes! Imagine that..... IL - "Sam! you must stay for the full 5 years as you were seen saying well done to a player from another club after he scored for England!"
