[quote="The_Enforcer":1sacjrvf]Most idiotic post ever goes to Grimmy..... The way to restart should be an arm wrestle between a designated player from each side.[/quote:1sacjrvf]:
He has run at number 13 for the most of 2012 and has shown himself to be a proper hard hitting defender. Could be a big name for the future as he has a great training ethic too. I dare to say a natural leader on the field as we have seen him direct the play very well this year.
It would be a terrible shame to lose him from the squad, but he will no doubt have to consider what is best for his own career if he is offered anywhere else to go.
I know you cannot hold on to every decent player, but he would be up there with Williams and Powell on my list.
Who ever we have in the , they will need time to settle. Goulding and Charnley will only continue to improve, (not that I'm saying they didn't do brilliantly last year). Richards knows the game inside out on the left wing so he'll have a lot of work to do in helping the new guy come through. Thornley looks big enough and quick enough for the position. I think he just needs to be polished into the finished article.
For me Thornley is the most likely candidate to replace Pat and I anticipate that is what he is being groomed for. I know we have a couple of young wing prospects but it is up to them to move up the pecking order.
I was not aware that Lloyd had a background as a half in union. I think the skills he used there will be of great benefit to a League centre.
