He looked pretty good when he started getting game time in 2009 but he hasn't really kicked on from there. I was surprised when he signed his current contract and I would probably let him go at the end of it. Hansen, Hock, O'Loughlin, Farrell, Hughes and Flower are all ahead of him for me, plus big things are expected of Lloyd, Carberry and Burke. It sounds quite harsh but I really don't see why he was such a regular in the 17 this season. IMO we would have been far better giving game time to Powell or L.Tomkins and giving McIlorum a breather, that's the way I would go this season too.
