Murphy can kick goals although I wouldn't say he is good enough to be first choice. He'll generally kick more than he misses though.
Powell is a smart player, a traditional scrum half with a good kicking game, good passing to his left and right and also a very good defensive player. He's not the quickest but he's still got some good footwork and acceleration which makes him useful when running with the ball.
As for Murphy he's come a long way in the space of a year. Despite his dropped balls against Leeds in the playoffs I can't remember seeing him drop a catch while playing for the under 20's. He's very confident and backs himself to claim the difficult kicks which is exactly what you want from a fullback. He's a smart player, reads the game well in both defence and attack and his footwork is also very good.
The one thing that might stop him being a top player is he doesn't really have out and out pace. Good footwork and good acceleration but over longer distances he's certainly not the fastest.
27588.gif"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.:27588.gif

Talking to one of the lads today and he was saying since there doing away with U20 s . That's leaving them turning to semi pro plus working in Oz which pays a lot more than what they would be getting over here anyway
