No, you're wrong. You didn't make it up, there's still an amount outstanding.

I don't think he will be provided people don't think he is instantly going to be the next Andy Farrell.
If he is viewed as a player for the future which at 21 he should be then there should be no silly expectations and we can all be pleasantly surprised if he does as well as Dudson for example.
The players who should hit the ground running are the experienced players we sign who need to delivery quickly, like Lauaki (who IMO hasn't improved from being average at Hull).

Pretty sure the full fee (£240k) is reported as revenue for 2011 in the accounts. I'd imagine everything left to pay will be down as a debtor.
Without the £240k from the sale of Tomkins Wigan would have operated at a loss in 2011 despite going to Wembley that season.

Fair do's. I thought I may have read it on here but if I did, like 90% of the stuff on here, it'll be a made up FACT.

You didn't. From the accounts:
21 POST BALANCE SHEET EVENTS
In [uJanuary 2012[/u an agreement was reached with Saracens Rugby Union Club Ltd for the transfer of Joel Tomkins for £240,000, [upayable over 2 years[/u.
Given Wigan published abbreviated accounts we don't know if they included this in the 2011 Accounts figures as the detail simply isn't there, or if they were simply flagging it up (as they are required to do).

Yeah that's right. On that basis the accounts won't have included the money in 2011 and the profit wasn't dependant upon selling players.

Wigan officially announced his departure to Saracens on November 7th "with immediate effect" so within those accounts timeframe. God knows if it's included or not.

I wasn't expecting Gelling to be world-class straight away, but that didn't stop the pitchfork and torch wielding lynch mob going after the lad.
It could be worse for Taylor than Gelling - he's being "bigged up" by quite a lot of people and if he doesn't deliver quickly then he'll be the latest in a long line of scapegoats (which ironically has included Andy Farrell!)

| Taylor is a workhorse and will run hard all day. When you let him, he'll provide a good offload. He also make decent ground. If you was to liken his style to anyones it would be Peacock. I'm not saying he's that good, i'm just saying he has a similar style and with the right coaching, may realize his full potential and be mentioned in the same breath as Peacock.
I believe a certain Phil Clarke likened him to a young Jamie Peacock also.

If he achieves half as much in the game as Peacock we've got ourselves a hell of a player !!
