Makes sense I suppose. I would like to see the league winners get a week off at some point though. It would give the teams something to play for in the season. |

But it seems for some people it’s asking far too much.'"
You are right. The only way to make the whole season mean something is to make the prize for coming top of the league meaningful in cash terms. bring back promotion and relegation and make the play offs top 5 or 6 with only the top side getting the advantage of a week off. Get rid of the stupid club call too.
Just think, this season we would have had Wigan and Wire slogging it out all season and the intensity in the bottom three would have been incredible. |

FFS based on theory this year it should have been Warrington/Wigan in the final.
What would happen if say the 5th team i.e Leeds beat the 4th team Catalan?
They then draw Wigan away and by some chance beat them.
They Leeds end up in the GFand somehow win it.

Going for my hat trick now.
How about the top 3 playing off in a sort of Tri League
1st v 3rd
2nd v 3rd
1st v 2nd
3rd place has the hardest games all away from home.
1st place has 2 home games with a week off in between.
Champion is crowned as the team top of the league maybe add a bonus point win for so many tries scored like the RU do.
Downside is no showpiece final at OT
But the top team gets decent gate money with 2 top games.
Just a thought.
