Murphy must have been included in the squad for a reason so if Tomkins is out then surely it's Murphy who will take his place. It's just common sense. If a fullback is injured, replace him with a fullback. He's already going to be familiar with the set plays, Richards probably isn't. There would be no attacking threat with Richards at fullback and we need to be strong in attack.

Would Wane not put Gelling on the wing? Dont watch the reserves so dont know how either him or Thornley are doing

If it is true whilst gutted I don't think it would be to bad in some ways. Leeds tactics will revolve around stopping sam. with no sam on the pitch it could mess things up for both teams as far as tactics are concerned. Also from what I've seen from murphy, I think provided he can handle the pressure, he could have a stormer.
