You’re right, but now I’ve heard it’s a four week job. Sometimes someone at the club can put out a so called leak to wrong foot the opposition, it’s been done loads of times. Let’s just hope it one of them.

I work at the hospital where the wigan, saints and wire players go and i can confirm i did see tomkins come in for an mri scan he didnt seem pleased when they left, so im guessing the 2-4 weeks out is near correct.

Wigan have more than 1 standout player the team is full of them so even without sam i would expect them to make the final.

Richards to FB, Thornley on the wing then? Not too disappointed with that if it happens

Richards has played many games at FB and is always dependable, albeit our attack would suffer somewhat I feel as he's not the quickest these days, i'd hope to see Thornley brought in and put on the wing

Murphy must have been included in the squad for a reason so if Tomkins is out then surely it's Murphy who will take his place. It's just common sense. If a fullback is injured, replace him with a fullback. He's already going to be familiar with the set plays, Richards probably isn't. There would be no attacking threat with Richards at fullback and we need to be strong in attack.
