In the salary cap era can you even have those types of contract? I dont really see how they could work without severely holding back cap space in case Fielden plays a full season. |

fair enough but it's gonna take a 33 year old longer to come back from injury and gain sufficiant match fitness compared to a 28 year old imo |

Best deal for him and us is if he gets an injury that keeps him out for a length of time eg 2 months he retires. Can not see him going for that especially with some clubs that will pay him a fat cheque for 1 years contract. If he shows some decent form over the play offs we should attempt to keep him. |
