In my opinion he was one of the reasons why we won in the end. McLorum wasn't at his best today and gave away a couple of expensive penalties - notably he was subbed after one of them which is when Tommy came on. And although Tommy knocked on close to the line his general contribution in terms of making the ball available, organisation and, as one poster has said, staying calm, made a big difference. Thank God for Pat and Tommy!! Next season will be interesting when he is no longer there to steady the ship.

Carmont took advantage of an unfit Webster who shouldn't have played IMO. But without the confidence Tommy gave the others then Carmont wouldn't have done as much damage.

I know this has been discussed at length but losing both Leuluai and Finch next season is going to be an absolute hammer blow I fear.
