i feel that the clubs / RL are at one of them strange points which could make or break them
The economy is C***, so financially most people may be struggling so will pick and choose if they go to games. Cost of travelling especially to away games has shot up massively
Cost of away tickets - £20 to stand up in some Yorkshire dumps in the rain when we have a modern stadium with great facilities that costs far less for away spectators, but yet we still get no travelling fans - Salford, Hudds, Bradford, Leeds, Cas, Catalan / London i can understand, and even both Hull teams over the last couple of seasons have dropped off in their numbers from previous seasons
The play off system doesnt reward the best side all season - so why should a team try. Tony Smith at Wire has changed his side most weeks and not bothered about losing the odd game, but still expect fans to turn up every week (granted they have a fantastic home record this season to counter the arguement)
So why should fans turn up to watch sides that they know are not necessarily playing at their full potential every week or playing weakened sides so that they can try to win 4 games at the end of the season ala Leeds last year as an example or what BN tried to do with us but failed miserably
there are some good things out there - £26 for a child in the South for the season with free ticket to every away game. i certainly take my daughter to more away games on the back of it
However i will still be renewing and still travelling away most weeks (work permitting)
