The only problem with that would be that he would have to adapt very quickly if only over for a year. The first year is usually a mixed bunch TBH so he would have to be good from the word go or its not worth it.

We won't get Soward. The increase in the NRL cap and the exchange rate being bobbins pretty much mean that we'll struggle to sign someone of his age and quality unless we throw stupid money at them. Lenagan has never done that and I can't see him changing now.

In other words the newspaper stories linking him to Wigan have served their purpose. St George have coughed up the extras.

I think the Soward signing is highly unlikely but I wouldn't take the most recent comments as meaning it's over. It was nothing more than a few generic "I'm happy at my current club" comments on a national TV show. You wouldn't expect any player to say anything different in that situation. Soward is the sort of player we should be looking at to replace Finch, whether we can get him or not is a different matter.

Soward surely will not come to SL.
Hornby may be persuaded and a two year deal may suit both parties.
With three young half backs around they could and would learn plenty from Ben Hornby.
I'd be happy if Hornby signed for us.
