just in case any one is heading out to benalmadena this summer, to let you know you will receive a warm welcome at the wigan bar on benalmadena seafront. its on the far side of the marina on the walkway directly on the seafront heading towards fuengirola(but nowhere near that far up) good food and beer(ice cold in frosted stein glasses)and reasonably priced and when every other bar is showing wendyball on friday nights, they have whatever rugby match sky is showing. if you are there recommend paying a visit and there is plenty more bars down that end if you fancy a bar crawl and a lot of them are english owned.

I've watched a few matches there. Sat with Craig Murdoch one evening. He said he was a big Wigan fan. We've never lost when I've watched us there. Not that I beleieve in all that rubbish.

I talk to him on twitter quite often (@dock2410), clearly has fond memories of his days at Wigan. Says he regrets his decision to leave when he did in hindsight. He works for the NHS now whilst also commentating home & away on Hull FC for BBC Humberside.
