And the RFL wonder why we don't get a full ground for an International fixture. Try appointing a coach that picks form players and not old has-beens, in these strapped for cash times people are going to think twice about going to watch some 2nd rate game due to a crap selection process by a coach who couldn't pick his own nose.

Quite amazing that they've both missed out on the England squad, but to both miss out on the Knight's squad is downright unbelievable.

Hopefully this snub spurs the two of them on to an even greater level.

The Knights squad is just nonsense though. They've basically kept the basis of the squad they picked at the start of the year regardless of the form of the players in that squad. Many have been dropped by their club, or haven't been playing regularly or simply aren't in form. There are some excellent young players outside of the Knights squad who would really benefit from being included who aren't presumably because someone somewhere is too lazy to pick a Knights squad that includes young players on form.

Remember a few years ago there was that talk that Super League clubs should be paid a fee or given salary cap exemption for each player they produce that is in the England squad (or GB as it was then). From what I remember Leeds and Wigan were quite keen on it (for obvious reasons). How political would it have made the squad selection now though....if Wigan were losing out on money for McIlorum not being in the squad etc.

Funny, I don't remember that proposal at all (or Wigan and Leeds agreeing on anything with regard to the salary cap)

But even if I did, in this context it would just be hypothetical silliness and totally irrelevant to the main issue which is that, yet again, England are going to miss out on form players because a head coach who isn't even good enough to manage a club team has got it embarrassingly wrong.

Cant believe these two are left out the squad and i am shocked a few more youngsters not in that squad.He is a coach.I was complaining about Betts, but after seeing this squad he is a joke and i rather have Betts at Widnes.
