Tuson and Hock pack down as props in the scrum before the biff when Mossop was on the pitch?

Because Mossop is a human clamp... nothing gets past him whereas Hock & tuson have been known to miss a tackle or 2. In the end it backfired so its a good point to raise. It was 30 degrees on the pitch so perhaps they felt the need to share the workload a little more than normal ?

It soon went from 30 degrees to well above boiling point though!

For the same reason that Carmont was packing down in the second row and Tomkins packs down at loose forward. Where they are in the scrum is immaterial but you want your best defenders in the middle of the pitch (such as O'Loughlin).

I'm pretty sure Hock always packs down in the front row at scrums while Tuson was playing prop wasn't he? I didn't think Lima, Dudson or Lauaki were on the pitch at that time.
