I don't agree with the "premier fixture" bit and I guess you have said that a bit tongue-in-cheek to get a reaction, but the fairest way to do the magic weekend if the RFL is to continue with it is to base it on the previous year's final league table (1v2, 3v4 etc).
This year's fixtures would have been:
Warrington v Wigan
St Helens v Huddersfield
Leeds v Catalans
Hull KR v Hull FC
Castleford v Bradford
Salford v London
Wakefield v Widnes
Overall much better quality games IMO and also a much more fair way of playing an extra fixture.
