Wigan pie man .. Swearing isn't aimed at a person because of the colour of their skin.. Racism and swearing are a completely separate issue and should not be compared.

Why's this issue only just arrived? It happens every game. Why dont people speak up about the Warrington chant? Or the Lockers chant? Or the I want to go home chant?
I could go on, but this is a pathetic thread

I've taken my kids to games since they were babies, they know just because it's sang at rugby doesn't make it OK at home or in the playground.
The only reason the chant on Saturday is getting so much attention is because it was sang so loud by so many and for so long.
Nice if you could all change the word, but c'est la vie.

The stewards asked for restraint. This was followed by an announcement by the stadium over the tannoy. Those of you who are struggling to understand the issue are clearly the ones who disrespect authority. I don't care how many times bad language has been used previously it doesn't make it right.

The tape they play every match asking politely for the crowd not to use Foul racist and abusive language is supported by nearly all the Wigan fans. The few that suggest this is not a family club that does not welcome the children and that you can use bad language to express themselves are in the minority.Just stick to the code of conduct this club is proud to brodcast at every home match |
