very strange, i was only thinking about this after the game on saturday. although i'm insanely happy and proud to be a wiganer (for the Tics as well as the Warriors) and am genuinely thrilled to have such a keen and hungry wiganer at the helm of our current squad, i can't help but feel its a little overly cocky.
i just hope he doesn't end up with egg on his face as we fans will bear the grunt!
we do have a great squad but its not a great squad that wins anything. its about winning the right games at the right times for me -. take for example out 2 losses to saints in the play offs last season.
maybe its simply because we have gone from a completely different personality in Mags last year to Wane, i don't know. i do love his desire, but i hope he doesn't put too much pressure on the players because nothing is perfect.
Not sure why people get hysterical when coaches come out with bold statements like wanting to win all competitions or even every game. I'd be hugely annoyed if a coach DIDN'T want to win every comp and every game. The only reason so few say it is because it gets thrown back at them if they fail.
