| Quote NickyKiss="NickyKiss"Error after error after error today and you know what.....he was brilliant I thought. He caused no end of problems and his errors came in the right areas forcing offloads in their 20 which is understandable.
He's loads to learn but his raw materials are awesome. His enthusiasm is great to see.'"
Well said, the majority of his errors came when others wouldn't have even had the ball to lose.

| Thought he did well today. Positionally he wasn't great, In particular when Carmont broke away he was miles away. But he ran in the ball really hard and made some good yards, Did well to catch some difficult bomb's which on another day could have led to points. He still has a long way to go yet, but It's clear to see that he has the raw talent and ability to possibly become a great player. Promising performance.

It's interesting how people see the same game differently. I didn't think he played well today. Solid, perhaps, but not well. Too many errors.
That said he's an incredible athlete (big, strong, fast, fluid) and obviously has a lot of skill. If things click for him he's going to be a world beater.

He made errors yes but other than the dodgy play the ball where he knocked on I don't think many of them were unforced as such. 2? I think of his errors came after catching bombs and trying to pass/offload with men already wrapping him up so there wasn't much he could do in those situations. It was clear he was out of position and he didn't really seem to back himself but hopefully as his confidence builds he'll start to back himself more. He wasn't exactly a stand out player but I just think he did well given the circumstances.

| I really enjoy watching him play, he just needs to tweak a few things about his game and he would be brilliant in this team. He is fantastic under the high bomb, I cant recall a time anyone has actually beat him to a high kick yet, he just needs to work on what to do once hes caught it And he makes meters better than most props when carrying the ball up field, massive strength. If he carries on like he is he will be welcome at Wigan for a long time.

| Gelling is doing OK. His attacking play and positional play needs some work but you can't fault the way he runs the ball back from defence.
Sides will also give up kicking toward him as he makes a lot of yards. He does look knackered by about 60 mins but that is a lot to do with effort he puts in. Increased fitness will help him though.

| I will say it again. He is everything we wished Karl Pryce would be. He even has footwork and skills to go with it. Once he gets his timing right he will be a fantastic player.
Those having a dig at his errors... don't be daft. He made one unforced error at the start, other than that the others were made while trying to get over the line, you can't blame him for those.
His enthusiasm is a joy to see, perfect wingman for a derby game, he runs it in like a backrower. He will only get better with increased fitness and more game time. Pat who?

Yes I thought exactly the same. On 2 occasions he passed into thin air as Gelling was somewhere else!! George needs to realise that Gelling isn't Pat and will make different runs.
I actually didn't think Gelling was quite as good today as his last couple of games but I really like him and think we have a future star. Really want to see him at centre though...

| Gelling made a lot of errors but to be fair many of them were on the last tackle/in attacking situations where no real harm was done.
On the positive side the amount of work he did running the ball at the Saints line was immense. He caused Saints massive problems throughout the game.
Saints would love to have a back as good as Gelling.
I think we have a potential world-beater on our hands here. IF the coaching staff can smooth off some of the rough edges, this lad could be a legend.

| lets hope we can keep hold of him once he gets better, would be poor if we spent a few seasons molding him into a world beater only to be snapped up by an NRL side or lured to Onion
