Last I checked London was a city in the UK and as well as having a team propping up the Super League they have a few teams up at the top end of the Premier League too. So basically a mirror image of what we have. |

Well check again.
The London of 6 million+ people is not a city.
There is a city called London but it is small (just 1 square mile) and has no Premier League soccer clubs and no Super League clubs.
The very large administrative area, also called London, is basically a county. In fact in the 30's up to the 70's it was called London County.
It then became Greater London County.
So NickyKiss is correct. |

Too right, some of the stories spouted would make Roal Dalh envious.
The 24 hour "rule" will simply be a precautionary measure. No doubt had the weather forecast stated that it would be pi$$sing it down all Friday & Saturday, then the game would have had to be moved.

Has anyone heard anything about the supposed use of pesticides in and around the of town?
The reason i ask is because my dog was very ill this week with vomiting and diarrhea. Now i appreciate dogs eat lots of stuff they shouldn't and are sick quite often. The reason i mention it is because i know of another few dogs who have been suffering similar symptoms. These dogs all use the same field as mine and others around town (including Menses park).
I have heard it mentioned by a few other people that different pesticides have been used this year by the council.
It could be that a doggy bug is knocking around but i just thought i would ask.
