| I feel for every fan from all clubs involved as it is they who ultimately have wait to see which day/time their respective team plays on. There will be many left disappointed if they cannot attend due to the incompetence of those in charge and it is an embarrassment to Rugby League in general.

| Quote FearTheVee="FearTheVee"They would also have to change their entire Friday and Saturday scheduling. It is relatively easy for Sky, with four specialist sports channels, to re-arrange at short notice with less disruption, but a publically funded general interest organisation like the BBC is a different story. =#FF0000Perhaps you think they should cancel Eastenders, I'm sure nobody in the UK watches that.'"
Works for me

| As i've said before pull out of the cup and concentrate on SL - it will become a bigger story that will highlight all the issues and how DW acts and how inbalanced the dual registration of clubs at the DW is

| Fear the Vee, you are just stirring the poo here.
Why will you not criticise the RFL for scheduling this round on the last day of the football season. There are 9 weeks before the semis, plenty of time for fitting the matches in.

| This game cannot be moved to Sky, We have a great chance to showcase a huge derby on the BBC, and Wigan must face reality and take the hit. We moan about lack of publicity and poor BBC games, and then some want the game moved to Friday to suit us!! Rubbish. Be interesting to see what would have happened if Sky didnt have the rights to any cup game, it surely would have to be on the BBC

They already organise the SL around Wigan Athletic fixtures, now they need to organise the challenge cup around them too?
The terms of your lease mean that, every few years, you might have to move a game. That is the position you're in, it's not up to the RFL to organise every domestic cup competition around Wigan Athletic. If you don't like it, move ground. If you can't move ground, move your game. It really is that simple.
The RFL have plenty of things to take into consideration when compiling fixtures for a season, not least broadcast partners (in this case the BBC). Why should Wigan RLFC's lease dominate the organisation of the entire sport?

What if Wigan drew Saints at home in the last round? Maybe the RFL should stage the entire cup over 3 weeks in August next time eh?
This is Wigan's problem, not the RFL's.

| I agreed the schedule is in need to be looked at (ie early rounds close together, then Semis/Final months away), but why do we need to concern ourselves with when the Football season is?

| Rubbish, it's not only Wigan it might affect. What about Hull, Hudds, Broncos and Salford next season

| I think we just need an answer ASAP. If we have to move it then so be it. Let's get it announced, let all the over reactions and pis* taking happen and die down and concentre then on the main thing....the game.
Our group of players and staff are mentally tough and moving it to Leigh or wherever will if anything fire them up. It will certainly be no excuse for a defeat so let's get it out in the open and get on with it.
One thing is for sure and that's if it's at Leigh it'll be a dam site better atmosphere with a full house there then 12000 at the DW would have created! That can be an advantage as well so use it.
The LSV is in Wigan anyway so we may as well just claim it as a second home. The Leythers won't mind!!
