So, no problem with Friday, does that mean he DOES have a problem with us playing on Saturday? Seems like 'discussions' are ongoing.

Can't help feeling that there will be only 1 winner out of all of this and it aint gonna be us.

I can't help but think maybe any decision will be stalled until after Wigans game against Blackburn on Monday. If they are safe then the game will go ahead at the dw, if not... then we will be playing elsewere.

It wouldn't be ideal to leave it till so late in the day to get it sorted but it might be the only chance we have of playing the game at the DW.

Edgeley park is free that day.... il get the stubbies in and put the kettle on.

Is this true? Can't find a specific regulation that states this '24 hour rule'. DW trying to deflect blame here I reckon. "Premier League regulations mean the game would be unable to be staged at the DW just 24 hours before the Latics game - but Whelan says a Friday night slot would provide an ideal solution." no 24 hour.... but a rule by the Prem League that states the club must do everything in their power to ensure the pitch is in a fit state..........

So Whelan gets to dictate what games are on BBC now?

FWIW I hope it goes ahead on the Friday as it is the least embarrassing outcome and maintains the integrity of the competition, but a big part of me would be p*ssed off that Whelan is able to deprive a showpiece game from terrestrial TV at a time when we are all complaining about the lack of coverage the sport gets.

There is no better advert for RL on free TV than Wigan v Saints.
