Loved Crusaders' try at the end. It got the biggest cheer of the day.

Also, great to see Cru bring as many fans as they did, all of whom seemed really enthusiastic. A mate of mine - from Wigan originally, married a Welsh girl and lives in Wrexham - came over with a couple of friends, all season ticket holders and seemed really positive for Cru's future, despite all the setbacks.

Put it this way - apparently Cru need an average gate of 600 to break even. They're getting between 1000 and 1500; not bad for a third division side.

I'd love to see them build on this and eventually get back into Super League.

Yep they are going about it the "right way" now and are in the position they should have been a few years ago instead of being rushed in to the SL. If things had been done properly there's every chance they would have been ready for the last round of licences and would now be attempting to establish themselves as a SL club with a firm base to work up from. We all want to see RL grow away from the heartlands but the expansion teams need to be handled correctly and not rushed or they won't work.

I'm still adamant that Crusaders were a big success on the field in Super League. They've produced decent Welsh players and even last year I can't remember them getting too many Widnes type spankings. They competed reasonably well in the 4 Nations too I thought. The trouble was they were never set financially and I blame the RFL totally for putting them in too soon. Had they waited till this licensing round I think we'd have a very strong Welsh team in Super League Now.

Agree with all comments above. A good fan base from across North Wales has been achieve despite the aweful management of the old SL Crusaders. North Wales Crusaders will develop their side within the constraints set by our income. Thanks to Wigan Warriors fans for the warm welcom on Sunday - despite the score we had a great day out.
