3632_1352982335.jpg Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......
I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.
Radio 5 Live, Sat, April 14th, 2007,...Dave Whelan, "In Wigan, rugby will always be king"
'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'
'It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it'

| Quote: Deano G "Wire fans can laugh all they want with their pathetic Tesco digs, but they had Wilderspool and we had the greatest club rugby ground in the world.
Nothing that their childish "jokes" could do to hurt us gets anywhere near the pain inflicted by losing that special stadium. Losing 75-0 to Saints was a minor irritation compared with that.
But with the sense of loss also comes the realisation that we were privileged to be be Wigan fans and to have that ground in the first place, along with many, many happy memories of that great old ground.
[iFor those Wigan fans like me who grew up watching the great sides of the late 80s and early 90s it was even more special - watching Hanley, Gregory, Edwards, Bell and the rest in a big match, with the Kop full and the Popular Side packed was rugby heaven. [/iBetter to have loved and to have lost....'"
In my case it was the great sides of the 60's as well. I have been lucky enough to watch rugby in some of the legendary grounds, the old Wembley, Old Trafford, Sydney Football Stadium, Lang Park, but, In my honest opinion none of these could equal Central Park when full for a 'big' game, Challenge Cup games, the Manly match, some Great Britain/Australia clashes, the ground had a feel and atmosphere all of its own, I know it was dated and run down towards the end of its time, but I still miss the place today, it played a big part in my life and I count myself lucky to have been a Wigan fan during those years.

33718_1325770967.jpg Games as big as Grand Finals define individuals and clubs. Remember, we only rent these journeys. In my time I had Pat Richard's shirt. Ellery Hanley had Sean O'Loughlin's jersey. Sam Tomkins is wearing Radders' number one jersey. Andy Coley is wearing Shaun Wayne's jersey. You have to make a mark in these shirts before you hand it down to someone else. Hand it back. So be aware for 80 minutes that you are not only playing, but you are also writing history and creating legacy. How many people actually write history - not many? A big stage demands big players…..INSPIRE YOUR TEAM MATES.

| Quote: bikerpie "Slight aside here, as the thread has gone off the rails already, but why would someone bid £15 on ebay for £15 of tesco vouchers, and pay the £1.80 delivery charge on top of that? Are people really that thick? Apart from anything else,. aren't the vouchers tied to the clubcard account, so without the clubcard, you can't use the vouchers?
I really do despair for the country sometimes!'"
because they are worth up to £60 (4x) in hotel vouchers or other 'deals', and they may want them sharpish.

Fair enough, but that still doesn't explain how you can cash in someone else's vouchers?

| Quote: Botica83 "icon_smile.gif Hi guys
I am emigrating in a couple of weeks and have sold most of my items on ebay now. I do however still have 3 seats taken from Central Park after the last game there in 1999.
I have three of them - two red and one white - all of them are signed. One of the red ones by Terry O'Connor - unfortunately I cant remember or make out who has signed the other two.
I'll be putting them on ebay in the next couple of days but wanted to give you proper Wigan fans a chance to grab them first...
Just make me a sensible offer!
Thanks
You wouldn't to happen to work for HJ Heinz and be moving to Melbourne?
