Odsal has one of the best memories for me. IIRC it was in the late 80s (early90s?) and it was a cup tie which we won.

The traffic was at a standstill with all the masses of Wigan fans on the M606. The kick off was approaching. We could see the ground.

The tension was too much and many Wigan fans just left their cars and ran towards Odsal up the motorway. We didn't leave our car on the motorway but some must have done. It was hilarious !

I think the police just gave up.
