| Quote BackrowSaint="BackrowSaint"I'm not stirring at all, it's true. Look back in this thread or others about Sam being kept in Super League - I was over the moon.
I've also posted plenty of things on your rumours thread regarding announcements which materialised so I don't have any problem trusting my source at all. Some posters on this board know I'm not talking crap, it's up to you if you believe it or not.
However, If you do believe it, it's because some current first team players are earning 200k+ less than Sam and are not happy that there is such a big gulf in their wages. Personally I think its tough but there is a couple of players unhappy.'"
What players exactly? hes only on similar money to what Fielden was on.

| They know where the door is then.
If they think Sam Tomkins shouldn't be paid more then them they must have massive delusions of grandeur and their attitudes obviously aren't what we need.
It'd be like Mark Edmondson or Tony Stewart throwing hissy fits when Cunningham was kept in league at Saints if it firstly is true ( which with respect I doubt) and secondly it's a couple of squad players on 20k a year as I read on your board.

| If and i mean IF there are some so called players that are not happy with what Sam is getting paid, then like has already been stated they know where the door is and thanks for playing for this club of ours.
That means it will give some more of our youngsters a chance!

| If anybody isnt happy about this new deal for Sam maybe they should pull their finger out and prove how good they are if they want better pay. The only way you get decent pay in sporting circles is if you prove yourself to be vital to the organisation that your playing for.

Exactly. I'm afraid the communist all people are equal doesn't work. Before I retired I worked for a big multi facet, multi national company. The engineers, sales, admin personnel etc were not on the same money in their respective groups. Some were better at their jobs, generated more revenue, were better qualified etc than their colleagues. It was up to those who were less paid to make their way up the ladder, and quite a few myself included did that. One of the engineers, who was below me went into management, got an MBA and is now in a prominent European position.
Talent and application needs to be rewarded.

And one might suggest that the sporting arena is one of more fairer places to apply the above, since your job is being oserved live by 10,000+ people and the odd Sky TV audience, your superiors will know if your doing a good job or not!

Obviously you're not including Saints players in that? Unless you're referring to your DW trips.

| Every time a star player re-signs for a club, you hear this same crap - other players are not happy about it. And how often the story comes from fans of other clubs.
All first-teamers are pretty well-paid at Wigan these days. So if these underachieving malcontents can find someone who'll do them a better deal, then, as others have said, fair enough. Let 'em go and kick-start their careers elsewhere. I hear there are lots of opportunities in the bottom half of the table.

Boring!
He was still up to his usual 'tricks'. Trying to trap the players arms in the tackle, moaning at the ref and also sledging other players when it looked like it was about to kick off.
Difference is this time he was on a team you had to support.

When he was stood at dummy half once, i caught him (seemingly) try and trip one of the tacklers as they were getting back into position at marker.
To be fair, I ed my sides. When he's got an England shirt on, he's playing for my team.

I noticed this too, very clever move. I think it was either on Issac Luke or Kevin Locke
