Quote: SaintsFan "The only time I've parked anywhere near the DW is on the car park opposite the shops, for a charge and a two hour wait to get off at the end. Mostly I've parked on the streets for free. Fans from Wigan would be dumb coming by car when there is a railway station at most 10 minutes walk away from the ground.
One of the reasons the plans for the stadium were passed was its 'green' platform. The council were keen to support the use of public transport. There is a cycling shed on the stadium grounds. So if you don't fancy the train I suggest you cycle there. You'll then have somewhere to park at the stadium.
You have decreed that have you? Well, Saints told me that they were applying for a performance licence so we will have to wait and see, won't we?'"
You really are dumb... "wigan this, wigan that", so what about the 12 other teams in the Super League? Face it, the parking facilities are insufficient. Wigan have sufficient parking facilities for the size of the stadium, and most other stadia contain some form of parking close by (even Wrexham did!). Saints don't. There's parking available in x,y,z in town at saints yes... but fancy walking down the side of duel carriage ways....
As for a performance licence, i'd hope they would be applying for a performance license, wont be able to use a PA for anything other than words without one. PRS License is compulsary if you want to play ANY commercial music in a public space.
