My wife works in the new building and went to get a "life style" pass for my 14 yr old so he could go swimming in the new pool, to be told that under 16s need to be accompanied by an adult, have you ever heard anything as pathetic.

I used to swim in the old one years ago when i was 13,14,15.

Most of the time though showing off on the diving boards, there used to always be a guy in the deep end who would sit on the bottom holding his breath, same guy everytime.

Loved the pool even learned to swim in the 25m pool there, i was a relatively late swimmer and learned at the same time i think if my 12 years of age memory recalls as Frano Boticas daughter. Last time i was up that end of Wigan though was Boxing day 2008 i heard the cinema,bingo hall, car park have all gone since i wast last there
